Looking for a violin teacher?
I strongly believe in a solid foundation when it comes to learning something new and I also believe everyone has their own pace until they bloom. My way of nurturing and guiding students is compassionate, and warm but direct and firm as well.
While I use the basis of the Suzuki method which puts an emphasize on ear training, I don’t solely rely on it, and assign various substitute pieces for each student to develop many other aspects of learning instruments. The lesson will be accompanied by my piano and violin playing. Sight reading, music theory, listening, and ensemble skills will be guided.
Patience with honest effort and self-discipline is the key to reach the goal of improving on the instrument. I ultimately want my students to learn all the tools in my lessons and be able to identify the problem and find solutions on their own with the tools that they learned.
In this way, my goal is for my students to grow into individuals who understand the foundations well enough to be self reliant in their practice and life.
I can help students
to build a solid foundation,
to achieve their goals,
to bring artistry and joy in their playing.
