Music is, to me, is the greatest tool to grow myself into a humble human being and the most powerful way to reflect upon myself and learn about the world. I can’t wait to see where my journey in music will take me next.

  • Violinist Aromi Park is a member of various orchestras, as well as an accomplished chamber musician. Aromi holds a position as Principal Second Violin of the Huntsville Symphony, where she served as Acting Concertmaster in past seasons. Recently, she won the Principal second violin for the Vancouver Symphony, USA, and is serving as Guest Concertmaster with Portland Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of Portland Opera. Aromi served as Acting Concertmaster with the Bozeman Symphony for the 22-23 season and was a member of Santa Rosa Symphony.

    Ms. Park frequently plays as a guest in orchestras around the US including the Nashville Symphony, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Iris Orchestra, Memphis Symphony, Sarasota Symphony and Opera, San Francisco Ballet as well as in Korea with the KBS orchestra. Additionally she is a regular guest at summer festivals like the Colorado Music Festival and Grant Park Music Festival.

    As an active chamber musician, Aromi was playing with the Ensemble Ari in San Francisco and was a founding member of the EN string quartet in Korea which won the Haneum Competition and Korean Baroque Competition.

    As soloist Aromi performed concertos with the Merced Symphony, the Balmoral Chamber Orchestra, University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra and the Korea Concert Orchestra. Further successes include first prizes at the Korean-Germany Brahms Association Competition, the National Music Association Competition, Beethoven Club Young Artist Competition and the Baroque Ensemble Chamber Music Competition in Seoul, Korea.

  • Ms. Park received her Master of Music from New England Conservatory where she studied violin with James Buswell and chamber music with Nicholas Kitchen (Borromeo String Quartet), after having received her undergraduate degree in the Ewah Woman´s University and the Seoul Arts High School in Korea. She continued to pursue further studies with the San Francisco Academy Orchestra under the tutelage of Dan Carson, where she received a full scholarship for outstanding artistry and with Soh-Hyun Park Altino at the University of Memphis, completing her Artist Diploma on a full scholarship.

    During her studies she was selected as a member of the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO), and the Master of Music Course in Japan with Alan Gilbert. In addition she was concertmaster of the Idlewild summer music course, and while there was selected as an active participant in a masterclass with Aaron Rosand. Other teachers at masterclasses include Vadim Gluzman, Michael Gilbert and Yoko Takebe.

  • As a violin teacher Ms. Park taught over a hundred students in the San Francisco bay area, Memphis and Portland, Oregon and was a faculty member of the famous Interlochen summer arts camp. She passionately teaches children of all ages, as well as preparing teenagers and adults for auditions and college. Ms. Park also took courses in the Suzuki method pedagogy under Libby Armour who studied directly with Dr. Suzuki. Many of her students have been successful in All State Orchestras, including winning the positions of the concertmaster chair. Under her guidance, students won auditions for various youth symphonies and other development programs.

  • Aromi likes anything small such as animals, babies, and miniatures. She finds huge joy in taking care of little things in the world, crafts, paintings, eating good food, and spending time with meaningful people in her life. Aromi’s enthusiasm is most evident when it comes to her passions for interior design and human psychology.
